I'd like to suggest Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Orchestra/Ensemble/Quintet. Here are samples of the groups: Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Ensemble: Quintet: Orchestra: I'd say the Quintet and Orchestra's albums would be best fit for Avant-Garde Jazz, and the first group...not sure.
