They were nice band when I was seriously younger, and I believe the big job they have done is they attracted many new listeners to metal with symphonic arrangements. This time is gone long ago thoughLOL

I'm a big fan, though It's been a while since I listened to them. Im waiting for the new album to come out, I still want to know what's going on with it and the new drummer.

DT for jazz-related metal Wink (*cough* and Planet X *cough*)

LOL NO.

And I'm a HUGE DT fan.

I can understand the "jazz metal" bands such as Planet X, Cynic, Atheist, or Exivious, but not Dream Theater, oh god no.

Whoah...

I had to check if Dream Theater were on here. Embarrassed

This got me thinking.  I'd be curious to see a list of bands that are on each of Prog Archives, Metal Music Archives, and Jazz Music Archives.  Jazz being the common link no doubt Wink.

Jazz metal bands would be the list, like Cynic, Exivious, and Planet X

Jimi Hendrix is the first that comes to mind that could legitimately belong to Prog Archives, Metal Music Archives, and Jazz Music Archives.

Maybe, One things for sure, Buddy Rich said more when he was a 3 year old as traps the drum wonder, than Portnoy has said in his whole career, I couldn't resist. That last Transatlantic DVD was mind blowing though.
