Potentially heated, already starting on a very negative note, debate, but I'd better just challenge. Am I alone in thinking this album is garbage? Coltrane's free jazz itself hasn't yet clicked to me - usually the late works I like also mix old patterns. Undeniably bizarre swansong, but the whole thing is simply excruciating to listen.

I've listened to it a couple of times, and while it gets a bit tiring in places, overall I love the raw, violent chaos. My Favourite Things especially has some wonderful moments of pure madness.

Overall I like the other avant albums I've heard from him more (Ascension and Interstellar Space), but Olatunji is definitely good too.
