May 3, 2013 ... in Japan almost all of us (except me lol) can have Golden Week, a straight holidays around the beginning of May. There are lots of people around various pleasure resorts, and also in Nakatsu Vi-Code (Osaka, Japan) were lots of freaky rock freaks (including me lol).

After a dubstep band playing, a jazz trumpet master http://www.jazzmusicarchives.com/takayuki-kawamura.aspx" rel="nofollow - Takayuki KAWAMURA came on stage ... we had been looking forward to his "solo" gig, with only one trumpet and a effector.

Anyway, he's a tutor for Sayaka KAWADA, a trumpetter of Djamra.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/TAKAYUKI_K_4_zpsefd0d846.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

At first, he played a jazz standard number "Summertime" for over 10 minutes with his original arrangement ... his solo work was very colourful and kaleidoscopic, with some improvised "detours".

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/TAKAYUKI_K_5_zps3325e040.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Upon another standard one "Cute", he played as a trio (or quartet?) just with one trumpet, woohoo!

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/TAKAYUKI_K_9_zps6936fef4.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

The following song was completely an improvisation, with sound effects via an effector. We cannot help pausingour breath during his excellent performance.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/TAKAYUKI_K_8_zpsaee85c5b.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

The last one, Herbie's "Chameleon", absorbed us obviously ... what an amazing stage he exerted.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/TAKAYUKI_K_10_zpse3e662c0.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

His solo stage notified us that he's so talented and unique enough that his one-hour performance was a brilliant music gem for us.

Thanks to Takayuki for your splendid playing, and thanks to you for reading my live performance review.

After a splendid jazz trumpet "solo" performance by Takayuki Kawamura, our Osakan pride http://www.jazzmusicarchives.com/djamra%28japan%29.aspx" rel="nofollow - DJAMRA appeared in front of us ... regardless of late night, the audience got freak-out completely.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_1_zps33517166.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

The pic above had let us expect Takehiko FUKUDA (keyboards) play more and more aggressively and eccentrically than usual hahhaha.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_2_zps6c182444.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

In the beginning, they played "Kamihitoe", one of their masterpieces ... that norified us they're always fine, active, and crazieee!

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_5_zps6fc67cdb.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_6_zpsd25aef43.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Their new song "Kihihi (Yellow Baboon)" was another killa ... a instrumental creation that represents a mad yellow baboon attacks a group of flamingos ... a mixture of slow dread parts and speedy, massive, aggressive ones ... the last reminds us the end of the flamingo world.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_7_zps4261db7f.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

^ On explanation about "Kihihi", by Masaharu NAKAKITA (bass)

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_3_zps192a0589.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Akihiro "Enon" ENOMOTO (drums, percussion) was deep and strict as well ...

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_4_zpsfe34170f.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_13_zps356d54ee.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Despite of ahonoko ... err ... funky appearance on his talk (MC), Masaharu's play was very cool.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_11_zps4e03e5b4.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Shinji KITAMURA (alto saxophone) ... his sax performance is always important to add sharp-edged season into Djamra's gig.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_10_zpsa9307f54.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Shinji's shout got more funky and obscure in one of their repertoires "The Cave".

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_8_zpsb3f28e7b.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

"Assassin In Sin", another popular one, let us shake, shake, shake (complexly lol).

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_14_zps0002d4e0.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Anyway my take-JMA-messages are ... one is that Takehiko got more massive, aggressive.

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_16_zpsb7205891.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_9_zpsb26f8c48.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

And another is that Sayaka KAWADA (trumpet) looked like a fish in the water ... in front of her tutor Takayuki Kawamura. Her performance was exactly the most impressive of all the gigs tonight!

http://s1208.photobucket.com/user/Keishiro_Maki/media/DJAMRA_15_zps53477c41.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Since the last one "Zetsuen Doon", we the audience and all staffs there had been much amazed in Djamra's superb performance really.

Thanks to all Djamrers for your playing such a splendid gig, and thank you for reading my live performance review.

Thank you for the details, Damosan. I see you to always enjoy them. If they grind a gig sometime in Tokyo, I will wait to enjoy it.
