Inspired by John's poll from November of '22, I decided to go for it and post this one.

Trivia point: All three were, at one time or another, preferred collaborators of David Sylvian.


If you know of any other musicians who used their trumpets in an "unusual" way, I'd love to hear about them!

I can appreciate all three of these, but Hassell is the one I am most familiar with.

Kenny Wheeler is my choice here. There's many albums I could mention, but Double Double You (1984) is my favorite.
