I liked a lot of his early records, especially White Light. He had a wicked sense of humor.

I bet a lot of folks don't know that Don Cherry was a member of Reed's band for a short while in the late 70s. He played on the Bells album and did some shows too.

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...
