I don't recognize it, its pretty hard to hear it very clearly.
Given the era and the violin melody, it might be Jean Luc Ponty, Noel Pointer, Michael Urbaniak or Jerry Goodman. There are other violinists too. If you can get the name of the movie, that would help a lot.
I'll be here for a few more minutes and then I have to go to work, but I will check back later this evening.
Welcome to the site.

Js,thank you very much for the kind reply and welcoming. I agree with most of the artists suggestions of yours. the movie is a low budget local one,so no end credits, soundtrack or imdb database. just a local dj choosing musics. only thing is sure is that the movie is 1983,so,must be a release of 1983 or before. in my opinion, late 70s or early 80s jazz-fusion stuff. I can even pay to get this ided, need to find it that much!

Thanks and best of luck on your search, the violin playing sounds very much like Ponty. Let me know if you get the name of the movie. I have to go to work, but I'll be back later.

I think this is your movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO8NPvlUHB4" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO8NPvlUHB4
If you can, let me know the minute marker in the movie where that music comes on and I will be able to hear it better.

I listened to that segment in the movie four times. Sounds like the instrumentation is guitar, drums, bass, organ and violin, which might help your search.
That segment is so short, I'm surprised anyone even noticed it, but it is a nice melody. The melody and the playing sound very much like Jan Luc Ponty. You might try going to a site like allmusic or amazon where you can hear samples from every song on an album and go through the Ponty albums, particularly the ones from the 80s.
Too bad you weren't looking for the opening song to the movie, I recognized Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" right away.

Yes, Bob James is a possibility, my next pick would be Jerry Goodman.

Thats very frustrating, the song fades just as the vocals come in. The important features are the big pounding beat and the sax solo. Here are some bands that have those two, at least sometimes: Haircut 100 Wang Chung Spandau Ballet possibly Power Station or ABC band
You might trying taking a clip of that to this saxophone site, someone might recognize the solo. I'll get the link in a second.
