Hi again,

Anyone know any albums that have a flute player all throughout? (What I mean is: not a multi-instrumentalist who plays flute occasionally). I'm familiar with Bobbi Humphrey's discography but that's about it. Is Herbie Mann worth checking out?

Thanks

Herbie Mann is well worth checking out, but his albums can be hit and miss. His best jazz albums are in the 50s to early 60s, and his best RnB/fusion records are from about 67 to 71. Definitely avoid his more commercial output in the latter 70s etc.

Check our discog and see what people have rated some of his albums. Be sure and check the live section, some of his best albums are live. We have lots of reviews up for this guy.
