I am starting this thread so we can all ask each other for help occasionally or give it to them if they want it or not Tongue

You may be after something that is Out of Print or rare and cannot even find it. There are albums that I am chasing that are long gone and most likely like me you do not want to pay that much more than what they are actually worth. Getting involved in Ebay Auctions is not the way to go usually , sometimes if they are that rare you may be the only one and then it is a winner but that does not happen too often. So if you are after an album put it up and maybe one of us will know or have seen it on our internet travels at the right price Cool

I am currently still looking for the odd Fania and Blue Note....Here are three........Ray and Tipica are not even available at any price

The Tipica I had, the bloke from Puerto Rico said he would sell it to me but he usually does not ship international so he would get back with shipping cost but he stuffed around over three days and when he finally got back he sold the damn album. Thumbs DownWas going to buy another he had from TNT Band as well with order but told him forget it.

Here is a Blue Note that I am after with a few others but this one I cannot believe how much people are asking. No Way

I am not a MP3 man as you all know. I don't care what people say but you will lose all your music one day. You should all know the old saying "Don't put all your eggs in one Basket". I back it up etc. If anything goes wrong it is the lot remember.

I don't care for mp3s either, although I do like internet radio stations, especially the ones you custom build.
I'm a record collector, but if I see it on CD and I know the record is a fortune, than the CD will have to do.
I have not seen the records you posted, but around Memphis, Duke Pearson is always possible.

Do you get a lot of local stuff, independants etc that are only really known locally. New Orleans especiallyCool
They say there is more music out there these days with the net John but I am finding over the last five years that the quality releases are getting less and less. Salsa has dried up pretty much John, World Music esp African there is not 10% of the stuff that used to be around and what is coming out the majority is not that great. Been done before, just the same old.
