I was pleased to find out that Mezzo TV is playing again jazz at normal hours.
For example today they played Errol Garrner, Stephane Belmondo Quartet and HUM trio, next Thursday they have Billy Eckstine & Dizzy Gillespie, and later Stanley Clarke Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten Live in Wien.
I am grateful to them because through them I discovered many  jazz artist (Michel Petrucciani, John Zorn, EST, etc..) at  a time that jazz music was not so accessible on the net as today.
I just hope that they will keep playing jazz at normal hours and not mostly at night as it was in recent years.

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Indeed, I have watched many concerts there. I wanted today to watch Stephane Belmondo but I didn't do it. It's a good classical/jazz music tv channel.

San Francisco TV stations used to carry some European music shows, beats the hell out of US music shows.

Hi,

I wish that the whole music business was not so commercialized and controlled ... it's just a shame to have to watch crap given to you by some social deciders out there, but no one ever gets to see musicians do their thing.

Cable TV in America is so sad when it comes to music, it's not funny ... and having a 30 minute show every 240 hours is not my idea of "music" and an appreciation for the art on TV ... based on the "arts" alone, I would love to kill half the sports on the telly!
