I realize this is a bit of a goofy request but I was wondering if anyone had any input for jazz albums to play at night while driving.
The factors at play are:
Grant Green's Idle Moments might be a good one except it's a tad quiet. Any thoughts on this? |

Miles Davis "Quiet Nights"
For a night time fusion experience, try side 4 of Miles' "Agharta". Brad Mehldau's recent mega solo piano release. For something more old school, a mostly ballad album by Coleman Hawkins or Chet Baker. Also, those lengthy slow blues jams by Jimmy Smith. I'm sure there's plenty more.

This Blue Note compilation is great:

I've liked John Zorn's mystic series for this purpose. (At The Gates Of Paradise, In Search Of The Miraculous, The Goddess, A Vision In Blakelight)
I suspect alot of early Coltrane would fit the bill too (such as Lush Life or Blue Train).
