Alex Wyatt is a New York based drummer and composer. Hailing from Littleton, Colorado, he got his start playing around Denver as a teenager, and studying under local jazz great Paul Romaine. He moved to New York in 2001 to study at the New School for Jazz, and has since garnered attention for his musicianship. Currently, Alex can be seen in New York performing with jazz groups Common Quartet, Alex Wyatt Group, the Josh Deutsch Quintet, Salo, the Nitzan Gavrieli Trio, the Kenji Yoshitake Trio, Glue Gun Optimism, Double Down, Hyung-Jin Choi Group, and the Duane Park Quartet. He can be seen with pop groups WYATT, The Midtown Men, and singer/songwriter Blake Whyte, and in the pit orchestras of various theaters. Most recently, Wyatt has been touring the country playing drums for The Midtown Men, which is a band featuring the original four cast members of Broadway's Jersey Boys. read more...
