Since moving to New York in the early 2003, Alon has played piano and collaborated with Jazz greats including William Parker, Daniel Carter, Roy Campbel, Joe Ford, Bob Moses, Ben Allison, John Ellis, Fransisco Mela, Andy Statman, Frank London, Chris Cheek, Chris Speed, Michael Marcus, Jeff Hirshfield, Matt Darriau, Marc Helias, Marc Dresser, Andrew Cyrile, Marcus Rojaz, Brigann Kraus, Lukas Ligeti, Bob Gulotti, John Lockwood, Ed Schuller, George Schuller, Alicia Svigals, Alber Beger, Albert and Yossi Piamenta, and many more.
Alon has played as sideman in various ensembles including Frank London’s trio (with Marcus Rojaz and Frank London), Baye Kouyate and his afro beat ensemble featuring Emilio Valdez, Alicia Sviagals Klezmer Quartet with Larry Eagle, Kenny Wollesen Himalays with Ben Goldberg and other guests, Nick Gianni’s Evolution , Root Valdez and QB3 , Daniel Carter Quartet with Roy Campbell and Sabir Mateen, William Parkers Ensemble with Andrew Bemkey and Matt
