Anthony Jefferson, a New Orleans native, began singing at a very early age in an environment rich in all genres of music influenced by his mother, as well as other very supportive family members. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA Anthony credits his musical background to his singing in church choirs, school functions, as well as, in talent shows.
Anthony Jefferson cultivated his studies in Classical music at California Institute of Arts with Paul Vorwek and Modern at Berklee College of Music in Boston. His repertoire included Jazz, at the University of New Orleans under the direction of Ellis Marsalis and Ed Peterson.
He says, “New Orleans is a city blessed with a strong musical heritage; I was fortunate to grow up in such a musical gumbo.” Before forming his own band, Anthony shared the stage with but, not limited to, artists such Mark Rapp, Willie Jones
