At 21, Ariel Pocock has received national and international acclaim as an equally capable jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer. Recognized by notable competitions such as Downbeat Magazine, Essentially Ellington at Lincoln Center, and the Kobe-Seattle International Jazz Vocal Competition, Ariel has been gaining momentum as a uniquely gifted musician with both her “true facility for…sinewy jazz piano [and] breezy, achingly plain-spoken vocal chops…” (Seattle Times).
She has headlined at many notable venus and music festivals , including Ronnie Scott’s London Club, the Iowa City Jazz Festival, the Elkhart Jazz Festival, the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, the Stanford Jazz Festival, the Bellevue Jazz Festival, and has also recently performed aboard the Jazz Cruise. Ariel is currently based in Miami and attends the Frost School of Music as a Stamps Scholar. While in Miami she performs regularly both as an individual performer and with her school’s ensembles.
