Aubin Vanns is a guitarist based in London. He has gained a reputation for his mature and original improvisational style as well as his melodic compositional style. He leads his own quartet, with pianist Alberto Palau, bassist Will Harris and drummer Jay Davis, playing original music. He also currently plays original music in the groups They Will Flock and Lanterns.
In 2019, Aubin released his debut album as leader with Opera. In 2018, Aubin featured on recordings by Matt Anderson (Rambling), Jana Vargova and Tom Neale.
Aubin led his own trio from 2016-2018, which performed at Manchester Jazz Festival, Sela Bar, Leeds and Green Note, London amongst other venues.
He co-led the jazz/folk duo, Blue Ejder, who performed original music inspired by modern jazz and Scandinavian folk music. This group performed across the UK and Sweden at venues including Manchester Jazz Festival and the Lescar. They performed with musicians including Pete Turner,
