Born in Cagliari, Italy, the 5th December 1971, Augusto Pirodda begins playing piano at the age of 6. Until 1998 he lives in Sardinia where he makes many musical experiences of different kind (Pop, Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Folk, Rhythm & Blues, Contemporary music) by performing all around the Island in clubs and villages, meanwhile he studies Experimental Composition in the Conservatorium of Cagliari, and follow several courses and masterclasses held by musicians like John Taylor, Dave Liebman, Paolo Fresu, Ralph Towner, Franco D’Andrea, Roberto Cipelli, Ettore Fioravanti, Gianluigi Trovesi, Furio di Castri and others.
In 1998 he moves to Holland to study in the Koninkljik Conservatorium (Den Haag), where in four years he get Bachelor and Master degree studying with Rob van Kreeveld, Frans Elsen, Rob van Bavel and Bert van Den Brink.
In 2002 he goes back to Italy where he works with a vocal trio from Sardinia called “Balentes”;
