The acid jazz duo Baby Buddah Heads comprised DJ Jazzy Nice and keyboardist Mitch Moses, both longtime veterans of the downtown New York music scene; Moses, a songwriter and producer, tenured with the Brooklyn Funk Essentials, while Nice worked with Groove Collective and Guru's Jazzmatazz. The group's debut Who's Afraid of Acid Jazz? emerged in late 1995.
