Baldwin, Bob [Robert Garfield Baldwin, Jr.], piano, keyboards, producer; b. Mt. Vernon, NY. He was born at Mt. Vernon Hospital. Family cousin is pianist Larry Willis. His father is Robert Garfield Baldwin Sr., 5/22/1926. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY. Played piano with bassists Keter Betts and Art Davis as well as Westchester County local musicians Carmen Leggio and Jimmy Hill (Saxophonists). Got sick in 1974, when he was in his 40's prior to embarking his only solo recording.
The surviving Baldwin is a Jazz Artist, Radio Host and Music Presenter, and Author. He is an unsung hero when it comes to the Contemporary/Smooth Jazz genre and is on the move, and that's mainly due to his ability to march to a different drum…without compromise.
