Ms. Smith has appeared with the following noted jazz recording artist: Gary Bartz, Greg Osby, Milt Hinton, Alan Dawson, Donald Harrison, Hubert Laws, Cindy Blackman, Billy Pierce, Lonnie Plaxico, Mulgrew Miller, Vanessa Rubin, Cecil Bridgewater, Cassandra Wilson, Rufus Reid, Donald Byrd, Mark Whitfield, Randy Weston, and Marian McPartland. Summer 2002 and Fall and Winter 2003-2004 - During the spring of 2005 Cecilia was the featured artist at the John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts - 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Mary Lou Williams Women In Jazz Festival. Cecilia has been studying the work of Mary Lou Williams for the past 5 1/2 years. She created the Mary Lou Williams Resurgence Project where she is currently the Artistic Director. During this years Kennedy Center Celebration, Cecilia put together an All Star, Mixed Gendered, Multi-generational Big Band and brought in the Morgan State University Choir to perform the complex works of
