From birth, in his Detroit home, Charles Eubanks was fed the musical images of Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown, Bud Powell, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonius Monk, by his father. At the age of 11, he joined "The Soul Messengers" and was quickly recruited into the renowned group, "The Six Lads," directed by Harold McKinney. The group played many of the Horace Silver and Art Blakey arrangements of the day, in such venues as The Ford Auditorium and the Detroit Art Institute. He moved to NY in the 1970s. He has played with Bobby Hutcherson-Harold Land Quintet, Dewey Redman, Kenny Clarke (in Dakar, Senegal), Woody Shaw (New York, Canada & US Tours), Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers (The Village Gate, New York City), Frank Foster's Big Band "Latin Meets Jazz" (Top of the Gate, New York City), Pharaoh Sanders Quartet (Spain, France and Italy Tours),
