Born in 1964 from a French father and a Mauritius mother Christophe Wallemme spent a lot of time abroad – 3 years in Lebanon and 4 years in India. He starts playing guitar at the age of 15 and switches to bass when hearing Scott LaFaro, Bill Evans’ bassist.
In 1982 stops his studies to focus fully to music. He learned classic bass in the conservatoire. He also took private lessons with M. Kazoran, Cesaruis Alvim and Hein Van de Geyn while taking part in master classes with Dave Liedman, Richie Beirach, Kenny Barron, Victor Lewis.
He also plays in Parisian clubs such as le Caveau de la Huchette, le Méridien, la Villa, le Montana. Where he meets and plays with Walter Davis junior, Ted Curson, René Urtreger, Maxim Saury, Ted Curso.
