Cristiano Arcelli was born in Perugia, 12/05/1976. He has graduated at the Conservatory of Perugia in classical sax. He has approached jazz and improvisation music from the beginning. He has studied with Gabriele Mirabassi and he has partecipated at Siena Jazz courses. In 2000 and 2002 he has won the italian contest “Barga Jazz”, he has been a finalist at the “European Jazz Contest” in Bruxelles. He has performed live in many festivals: Umbria jazz,Casa del jazz (Roma), Terni Jazz,Umbria jazz Winter, Saalfelden (Austria), Beijing international jazz festival (China), Grenoble jazz en Isère (France), Parco della Musica di Roma, Teatro Regio di Torino, Festival Jazz di Amiens(France), Ravenna Festival, Todi Arte Festival, Mostra del cinema di Venezia, Jazz Hoeilart(Belgium),Young jazz in town, Roccella Jonica, Fano Jazz club.
