Daniel Herskedal (born April 2, 1982 in Molde) is a Norwegian jazz musician who plays the tuba. He has played with a number of ensembles and participated in several recordings. Herskedal is sometimes regarded as one of the premier talent in jazz tuba, and to combine multiple genres.
As a boy, played Daniel Herskedal horn but went over to his brother's tuba. Furthermore, he went school in Storyville Jazz Club, studying music at Molde High School in the years 1998-2001, and was on several boards with hometown Dixi before moving to Trondheim and bachelor's degree in jazz studies (NTNU) (2006), and later he in jazztubaisme at Rhythm Music Conservatory (RMC) of Copenhagen (2008).
