He was born in 1966 in Zagreb where he graduates from gymnasium and music school. Subsequently he studies at the Jazz Department at the Music Academy in Graz , Austria . In the year 1990 he wins the award for the Best Young Jazz Musician at the Jazz-Fair in Zagreb . He has performed at numerous concerts with small bands and as a soloist in big orchestras. He is a leading soloist in the Croatian Radio Television (HRT) Big Band. He played with musicians such as Ernie Wilkins, Boško Petrović, Johnny Griffin, Lena Conquest, Ed Thighpen, Art Farmer, Alvin Queen, Martin Drew, Ron Rigwood, Greentown Jazz Band, Slovenian Radio Television Big Band, and many others. He is a member of the Latin-jazz group Cubismo, with whom, at the beginning of 2000 in Havana , he recorded the album «Motivo Cubano» in cooperation with the members of the famous Afro-Cuban All Stars: Juan
