Denise Perrier has built an international reputation for performing in festivals, concert halls, jazz clubs, etc. Born in Louisiana and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area she grew up among many of the greats of the jazz world. In her early twenties, Louis Armstrong heard her singing at the Fairmont Hotel and hired her for his Las Vegas review. Ms. Perrier was the featured vocalist on Jack McDuff’sGrammy nominated CD, “Color Me Blue,” with George Benson and others. She co-produced a CD with renowned saxophonist Houston Person, “I Wanna be Loved.” While in Russia she recorded a live CD with the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra. She has recorded two live CD’s in the Bay Area-one at the renowned “Yoshi’s, Oakland” and the other at the historic San Francisco club, “Jazz at Pearls.” She is also featured on several Big Band compilations in the US, Japan, and Russia.
