Domas Aleksa is a renowned Lithuanian bass player, composer, MD and a studio player. From the tender age of 6 he started playing classical cello, but after 7 years he became more interested in playing the guitar. He started playing the bass while still in music school, and after graduating from classical cello he enrolled in Music College to further study bass. Domas became influenced by bass players such as Jaco, Christian McBride, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller and Richard Bona. Studying in music school was not enough, so in his free time he would jam and share skills with his brother drummer Marijus Aleksa and peers where ever they could. At 15 Domas formed a band and got his first paid gig in a music cafe. He was finally living his dream.
