Elifantree is an expressive trio that delivers an experimental musical trip from the boarderland of pop and improvised music. This unconventional three-piece group features tenor saxophone, vocals and drums. Since 2007 the group has performed widely in Finland and abroad and gained a strong reputation as an energetic and constantly surprising live band. In 2011 Elifantree added several valuable performances into their already expansive track record. Some of the notable events the young band played included European Jazz Nights (Oslo), Jazzahead! (Bremen), 12Points! (Dublin), Jazz Au Cellah (Rabat, Morocco), Reykjavik Jazz Festival Showcase and Tampere Jazz Happening in Finland.
Elifantree’s eagerly awaited second album Time Out will be released on the 11th of April 2012. Time Out sees the band travel further into their own direction, continuing on the path mapped by their immensely successful debut, Love & Trees, from 2010.
