Hailing from the historic city of Utrecht in The Netherlands, EXIVIOUS were first formed in 1997 by guitarist/vocalist Tymon Kruidenier, of CYNIC fame. After the release of a self-titled, two-song demo in 2001, the band was put on hold until 2006, when they made their comeback with a new lineup. “Exivious”, their full-length debut, was released in the summer of 2009, in a limited supply of 1,000 copies. The band is made up of guitarist Kruidenier, bassist Robin Zeilhorst, who appeared along with Kruidenier on Cynic's 2008 EP "Re-Traced," as well as guitarist Michel Nienhuis and drummer Stef Broks, both from the Dutch progressive metal outfit TEXTURES.
