What a long strange trip it's been. But for composer Faye Miravite it's about par for the course. On her way to writing and producing her first and recently released 7-song jazz CD called One of These Days/TheM Project with the bluebloods of Philippine jazz like Sandra Lim Viray, Egay Avenir, Jun Viray, Romy Posadas and Roger Herrera, Faye moved in unusual trajectories.
She picked up a bachelor's degree and a masters degrees in Mathematics in the U.S, where she lived and worked for several years. Tired of the rat race, she moved to Italy by way of Spain and studied Art History and later completed a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Florence. In between, she augmented her training in classical guitar by learning the piano and writing poetry on the side. She settled in Florence, became an Italian citizen, and somewhere in her teeming life, she squished in lessons
