Irresistibly attracted by free and changing musical processes, Francesco Bearzatti spent his childhood in the north-easternmost region of Italy, Friuli, sharing, with his peers, his first love for music through listening to rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple and then the punk of Ramones and Sex Pistols, among others. He later graduated in clarinet at the Conservatory of Udine and deepened his studies further in New York, where he met George Coleman.
Bearzatti has recorded countless albums as a sideman and many as leader. He is the founder and leader of the band Tinissima 4et (Suite for Tina Modotti, X Suite for Malcolm, Monk'n'roll). He has repeatedly won the Top Jazz and, in 2011, the Best European Musician at the Académie du Jazz (Paris) among many other prizes.
