Piano, Vocals and Percussion for the Fred Scott Trio
Fred started drum lessons in the fourth grade and at age 13 he recorded a 45 rpm record called Drum Boogie. Into adulthood, he was with the Roy Brooks Aboriginal Percussion Choir and Charley Banister’s Detroit Drum Ensemble.
During the 70’s, he recorded with Wendell Harrison on his Dreams of a Love Supreme album. Also during the 70’s he started studying the piano and Theory with Robert Pypho.
In the 80’s Fred Scott recorded the albums EL Lobo and Tropicool with his band Easy Does It. He also worked and recorded with Blues great Mr. Bo (Luis Collins), Bo Bo Jenkins, Willy D. Warren, and Sweet Claudette. In the 90’s he recorded his Good Times and Bad album. Fred and his trio Cool Mood released the CD Unknown Soul 2004 and followed with the CD Soul Portraits 2007.
