The low down on Funk Off . Yeah! A marchin' band that plays funk, you got it!
Difficult to say in one word what a street marchin' band act is all about (3 trumpets, 7 saxophones, 1 sousaphone and 4 percussions): all movin' and funkin' to jazz splashed rhythms.
Funk on the streets (and on stage if you want it) OK it's no 70's sequined stage band pumping a bass, electric guitar, and drum set. 'Cos soundin' the funky bass line for Funk Off are three baritone sax and sousaphone. On the drums, four dudes; snare drum, bass drum, cymbals and percussion. Two alto sax and two tenor sax smooth in the harmony and three trumpets belt out the tunes!!!!
In four years the band has played more than 200 concerts out on the streets (Mercantia, Ferrara Buskers Festival, Verona, Roma, Napoli) and on some great stages, "Poretta Soul festival", "Grey Cat
