Born in 1994, Grzegorz Tarwid is an adventurous composer and one of the most versatile Polish pianists of the young generation. He attended the Frederic Chopin State Music School, where he developed as a jazz musician under the guidance of Wojciech Kamiński, Andrzej Jagodziński and Michał Tokaj. There, he also met several young artists he would be sharing the stage in the years to come. One of them was the drummer and composer Albert Karch, with whom he founded his first critically acclaimed band. The trio, called Sundial from the second album onward, was completed by Wojciech Jachna, an already established and more experienced trumpeter from Bydgoszcz. 'With Albert, we had a recording set up at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz', Tarwid recalls.
