Hans Marius Andersen (born 23/12 1994) is an international trumpeter, composer and band leader from Bergen/Norway. Andersen started to play the trumpet at the age of three. By the age of five Hans Marius joined the local school band and five years later he advanced to the local brass band. In the years after Hans Marius has developed into becoming a world class soloist.
Hans Marius plays mainly jazz and classical music. He can handle both viritouse technical pieces as well as calm melodic pieces and trumpet concertos. Teachers he have/had includes Arnulf Naur Nilsen, Helge Haukås, Stian Eilertsen, Eyolf Dale, Erik Halvorsen and Are Ovesen. Hans Marius has cooperated with well known artists in many genres, as Sissel Kyrkjebø, Ole Edvard Antonsen, Jerry Bergonzi, Tord Gustavsen, Øyvind "Elg" Elgenes, Mike Gallaher and been a soloist with among others the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and the The Armed Forces’ Band West.
