Hot Buttered Rhythm lays down some relitively unexplored law with progressive beats that groove and swing...hard! They've burned up the stage at the world renown 1998 Montreal Jazz Festival and they continue to receive accolades, awards (Austin Music Awards '98 Best Funk Band and '99 Best Jazz Band) and high praise in their hometown of Austin, TX.

Hot Buttered Rhythm's founder and one of two drummers, Brannen Temple (Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, Robben Ford) has this to say...

"Hot Buttered's goal is to relate our musical influences to our present take on today's contemporary sounds. We play what we feel. The CD (most of which is a sonically fit live recording) is a showcase of the bands raw live energy and this one is all about the JAM, ya'll - sometimes shifting back and forth from unadulterated funk to hip traditional jazz."
