After relocating to Los Angeles in 2000, Jamey Tate has become one of the most sought after young musicians in the jazz scene. He has recorded and/or toured with such artists as Mindi Abair, David Benoit, Al Jarreau, Patrick Williams, Melissa Manchester, Mike Vax and the Stan Kenton Alumni Orchestra, David Schwartz, Kim Richmond, Tierny Sutton, and Anna Callahan to name a few. He has also been busy in the film scene and can be heard on such films as “Heartbreakers”, “Beauty and Power”, and “The Perfect Husband”.
A native of Orlando, Florida, Jamey was raised in a very artistic family. His father, an accomplished guitarist and composer, and his mother, an artist and designer, encouraged Jamey to pursue music from the early age of 3 years old.
