JERRY LÉONIDE picture
Jerry Léonide, born in the beautiful island of Mauritius, began his musical journey at age seven, influenced by his guitarist father. Quickly recognized for his talent, he performed with various bands, mastering multiple styles. At 17, Jerry moved to Paris to study jazz, learning from renowned teachers and becoming deeply involved in the city's music scene.

His career soared in 2012 when he was a finalist in the Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition and won the "Concours Boris Vian" in France. In 2013, he claimed the top prize and the audience award at the Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition. His debut album, "The Key," released in 2014, celebrates his Mauritian roots through jazz, earning a spot among The Telegraph's 33 best jazz albums of the year.
