A new-breed vocalist who infuses diversity and modern interpretation into his show, John Minnock first gained popularity in Boston, and is now a fixture in the jazz and cabaret scene in New York City. He is the recipient of the “Hot House Jazz 2016 Fans Decision Metropolitan Room Award”.
John recently released his second major album “Right Around the Corner” (available at iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and CDBaby), with impressive new music, including three original compositions plus inventive new renditions of cabaret and jazz classics. He is supported by a stellar rhythm section and with very special guest, National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master and Grammy-nominee Dave Liebman. This “gay-ahead jazz album” is a groundbreaker as it explores LGBTQ subject-matter in a jazz setting.
