Grace embodies indie music, jazz, folk, and now country, with her own timeless, instantaneous hit style. A Tucson, AZ baby, Grace fell into jazz after moving to the Bay Area through the mentorship of vocalist Molly Holm (Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra). Her three popular and critically acclaimed indie records (“Mirror,” 2008, notably), and chance encounters with Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne” and vocalist Nancy Wilson changed the course of Grace’s career dramatically.
She went from a straight-forward jazz singer to a cross-over composer who hears the soul of every song she writes, regardless of category. Drawing from a kindred wellspring in the works of Dolly Parton, Kitty Wells and John Prine, Grace connected on a deeper level to country music.
