Kozo Suganuma was born in Osaka, Japan and started to play drums at the age of eight. He became a professional drummer at the age of fifteen and has done many studio recording, concerts tours and sessions. The Kozo Suganuma Drum Dojo is located at six places in Japan which Kozo operates. He continues to release a wide variety of techniques, how to books and instructional DVDs for drums and percussion. He passionately works as a clinician and has participated in drum and jazz festivals and clinics across Japan and in many other countries. Kozo has worked with top drummers such as David Garibaldi, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, Sonny Emory, Steve Jordan, Gerald "Jerry" Brown, Simon Phillips, Benny Greb, Tommy Igoe, Peter Erskine, RUSS MILLER and many more.
