LEE HEERSPINK picture
Lee Heerspink is a rare multi-talented musician and educator located in Hudsonville, MI. Lee earned his Music Education degree from Hope College (in Holland, MI). While at Hope he toured with the chamber orchestra on upright bass, began playing in his first rock band, performed weekly with a folk acoustic trio, and quickly excelled as a guitarist in the jazz band.

Jazz became such a passion that Lee continued his education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. While completing a Masters in Jazz Performance at USF, he had the opportunity to learn from and perform with some of the area's best including: Jack Wilkins, Steve Davis, LaRue Nickelson, Richard Drexler, and Michael Ross.

After completing his Masters, Lee became very active in the West Michigan music scene. For three years he taught guitar lessons full time while playing with various cover bands, jazz combos, big bands, and read more...
