Lisa Kelly has a B.M. Degree in Jazz Studies from the acclaimed University of North Florida Jazz Program, where she studied Lisa Kellywith legendary saxophonist Bunky Green, guitarist Jack Peterson & multi-instrumentalist Dr. Bill Prince. Inducted into the "2013 Jacksonville Jazz Festival Hall of Fame" and profiled in the 2011 book, "The New Face of Jazz," Kelly was the featured vocalist with the top UNF jazz ensemble for 6 years, winning many vocal awards and featured on 4 UNF CD's.
While at UNF, Kelly won an unprecedented five Down Beat Magazine music awards (4x vocal, 1x original composition) and was the 2000 IAJE Sisters In Jazz Combo Vocalist Winner, performing at the 2000 IAJE Convention in New Orleans, the Mary Lou William's Jazz Festival (Kennedy Center), Vienna State Opera House, and Festival Vien (Austria).
