Born in Paris France, she began studying the flute at the age of nine, and then in 1980 she graduated in flute at the Conservatory (CNR) in the Classes of Regis Calle and Raymond Guyot. After listening and experimenting in pop/rock music she discovered jazz in 1974, (Dolphy, Coltrane, "Return to Forever" ...). She began her professional career in 1981 in Paris and has been living since 1998 in Copenhagen, where she is sharing her time between concerts, recordings and teaching. In Denmark, Mariane directs her 5tet "All One" (with Rasmus Ehlers, Olivier Cahours, Thomas Fonnesbæk and Christophe Lavergne), co-directs along with the Japanese pianist Makiko Hirabayashi, the 5tet "Grey to Blue" with Bob Rockwell , Erik Olevik , Morten Lund. Plays in Barthélot Ekeme Same's dance performance "The Butterfly", with Palle Mikkelborg, Helen Davies, Ayi Solomon and Jens Axelsen.
