Marsh Dondurma has in the years of its existence created a personal and identifiable sound. The band create an Israel groove, weaving Arab Maqam, New Orleans trumpets, Yemenite rhythm with Balkan riffs and klezmer howls with butt shaking funk. This specific blend has taken them around the world (The Montreal Jazz Festival, The Gocha Festival in Serbia, China, Taiwan, Mexico, Poland and more) as well as to countless stages and events in Israel (The Israel festival, The Eilat Jazz Festival, The Piano Festival, The Klezmer Festival in Zfat, The Acco Festival, IndiNegev, Menashe forests and more). The unmediated contact with the public continues to nourish their music, and it is not rare to find the band starting a street party.
