The band's name is inspired by Pirandello's literary universe. His visions were the starting point for our musical, philosophical and scientific journeys. Since our minds are constantly evolving, our hearts feel oppressed by the relentless, mundane daily grind of modern society's theatre of the absurd, which we deeply reject, but are also somehow forced to go along with, just for the time being"

Stefano Amasio and Matteo Arisi inspire, by exploring unique and innovative arrangements, the main composer of the project: Riccardo Moccia, who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of emotions and maths applied to music. Without pretending to move or wake up any conscience, but with the modesty to entertain it, Maschere Vuote strive for the impossible quest of perfect composition: the goal is simultaneously achieved and failed every time a new composition takes shape.
