Mauro Ottolini is an eminent specialist of the tuba and trombone and winner of the "Top Jazz 2012" referendum promoted by "Musica Jazz" for best Italian jazz musician of the year. He is also a talented composer and arranger (he made the arrangements for Enrico Rava's Michael Jackson project). Together with the Sousaphonix band, he gives intelligent, spectacular renditions of the New Orleans and Chicago traditions, bringing them bang up to date and projecting them into the future.
