Meadow Quartet came into being in 2009 in Gdansk (Poland). The band tries to create the space, which can be diffused by influences of modern chamber music, jazz, improvised music and the most fundamental medium – traditional Jewish music. Meadow Quartet, at last, is an exciting challenge, its members are trying to follow the path which defies simple stylistic classification.
Meadow Quartet denotes four outstanding musicians – four instrumentalists, each inspired by one of the above type of music, but altogether Meadow Quartet are four, synergizing in musical performance, personalities.
The band has won the second prize at the 16th Festival of Polish Radio Nowa Tradycja (New Tradition) in 2013 and has participated in the events such as the International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam, Tzadik Poznan Festival, the Internationaler Hansetag in Lüneburg.
