The legendary bass player and historian of the Serbian jazz was born on 15 December 1947 in Belgrade. Besides the decades long international music career, Blam was also a dedicated researcher of jazz history among the Serbs, as well as the founder of the jazz museum. He was a musician, composer, teacher, and his historical research was materialized in the book “Jazz in Serbia 1927-1944”. He studied the upright bass, and before that some violin and piano. As a musician, Blam toured the world and performed with diverse orchestras and music greats from all meridians – from the Belgrade Philharmonics to Berlin Rado Orchestra of Herbert von Karajan, as well as more than 30 jazz greets from the entire world.
