Morten Schantz is a pianist, singer, composer and bandleader born 1980 in Aarhus, Denmark. He is currently working with three different bands stretching from artpoppers GENUS, heavy-jazz-futuristic JAZZKAMIKAZE to modern trio jazz with MORTEN SCHANTZ TRIO.
In 2011 he released his first album entitled Conveyance as a trioleader. It’s a fresh breath of air on the international jazz scene with a ambitious and personal record that reveals Schantz’ passion and talent for intertwining other genres with jazz.
Schantz is by no means a newcomer on the international jazz scene as he has been the main contributor and force behind his critically acclaimed supergroup, JazzKamikaze, touring all over the world since the formation in 2005.
